Anglo Platinum Fire Risk Enhancement Project Amandelbult

Polygon Project Engineers, inspected the business units outlined above and highlighted fire risks in addition to findings from audits done by the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) and Global Risk Consultants (GRC). Polygon’s scope was to evaluate the risks with the engineering and section 13,1 managers and implement a solution to mitigate the risks outlined or accept the risk. We applied Anglo American Standards, South African Standards, International Standards (NFPA, BS etc.), Generally accepted private standards (ASIB, FM, UL) and rationality in the mitigation of the risks. We generated a report and received sign-off from the mines on the way forward. The project is in implementation by the various mining Stay In Business (SIB) Units.
