Amandelbult Chrome Recovery Plant Fire Project

Polygon Project Engineers, inspected the Chrome Recovery Plant and highlighted fire risks in addition to findings from audits done by the Occupational Risk Assessment (ORA). Polygon’s scope was to evaluate the risks with the General Manager, Engineering Manager and Chief Safety Officer. In addition to the risk review we had generated escape plans, hazardous zone drawings, maintenance procedures (Electrical and Fire) and emergency response plans in line with the Anglo Standard. We applied rationality to the site as some of the findings did not align with passive risk mitigation techniques already in place.
