Grootgeluk Alternative Mining Solutions (GGAMS)

Polygon Project Engineers was appointed to review of the designs for the bankable feasibility study to the Exxaro Grootegeluk Mine alternative mining project. The project was the taking of over and under burden through a crusher and distributing the crushed material via approximately 5km of conveyor belt to be disposed of in another location via a reclaimer. We reviewed the designs against the Exxaro, Grootegeluk and SANS standards. The risks were facilitated and reviewed against the Exxaro risk assessment tool. The outcomes of which were signed off.
