Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital
This project was the expansion of the current paediatric burns unit at the Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital.
The unusual element to this project is the planned installation of the 9000 Litre Diesel Tank next to the site for operation of the facility during extended downtime.
In addition to the building plan process there was also the additional requirement for a flam- mable liquids license for the site. This is usually the domain of fuel depots. This was the application of SANS 10131.
